Ralph El-Hajj
Ralph El-Hajj has a PhD in Semiology from the University of Québec in Montréal. After 2 years of teaching as an Adjunct Faculty member, he moved to his native Lebanon to begin teaching at USEK and LAU. Eventually, he received his tenure at the Lebanese University in Beirut, where he teaches history and philosophy of art. He is currently Full Professor at the Lebanese University in Beirut.
Ralph has been working on his art since 1983, securing numerous exhibitions in Canada, New York, Beirut and Portugal. He has exhibited at the Sursock Museum, Agial Art Gallery, and 392Rmeil393 Gallery in Beirut. In 2020, Ralph began a collaboration with the Italian Institute of Culture in Beirut on projects curated by Maie El-Hage, inviting him and Italian artists.
Ralph’s art is represented in the collection of the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa, Ontario. He lives and practices his art process in Beirut.
